Finally recovering!

Well it was a long week and I am finally recovering from the weekend!
Thier was a great turnout for Creative Chaos and the weather was not as hot as usual for this time of year which is probably good as it brought more people out to the show.

I ended up on the front cover of our local newspaper and didn't know it until the morning of the show as the newspaper reporters came around the morning I was setting up and had no idea they would choose my picture. ( a bit scary no makeup! )
This show was my first big show setting up jewelry and pottery and I wasn't really sure what I was going to do as in the spring my good friend Susan helped me setup, so I used old apple boxes from local farms and it worked out okay,  but I could of used more lighting.
Of course I forgot my camera everyday and I was fortunate that my girlfriend took a couple of pics of my booth.
I also had a couple of pieces stollen which was very sad as you put so much time into your work and someone just comes along and just takes it, so I need to figure out how to make it more challenging for thiefs!
Anyways here are a few pics!

That is me holding the wine glass no I am not linked to shootings lol!

Yes me again with a goofy look on my face!

This was the front corner, it looks a lot brighter than it was becouse of my friends camera but next show I will try and get better pics.
Also I had the same display on the reverse side.  It looked better than the picture is showing but you get the idea.
Also as you can tell I love anything with hands so a lot of my displays are hands, they are all over the place not just in this pic, but you can't see them all.

That's it for now!

Love and Peace♥
Ingrid

  1. Wow, cover girl! Way to go. It was fun to see your picture and put a face to all those convos:) That front page layout is funny with the shooting caption. Lol. Your booth looks awesome! Love the crates! I know it is completely stressful before and utterly exhausting after. But, rewarding when it all goes well.

  2. I just hate a thief! I always wonder at shows how people control theft; you can't be everywhere at once :(
Hope you sold a lot. It's cool that you made it on the front page!

  3. I hate thiefs too. What did they steal? You look so young in your pictures - what are you, 12?

  4. Great cover shot! Too bad the tag line wasn't "Biggest Craft Venue in Western Canada a Huge Success says Local" or something like that. It was fun for me and I had a Salmon Burger for dinner that was to die for. Your jewellery was the best for sure! Hope you did really well.
