Slow Down!

This morning I took a sneak peak into the kiln but it is still to warm to take stuff out, but I did spot a couple of pendants and a cuff so I scooped them out of the kiln.
I was so excited as one of the pendants was refired and I didn't like the way it turned out the first time.  So to my surprised I saw it and it turned out great the 2nd time around.  It had this really nice aged patina look to it.  So happily I went into the basement as I wanted to sand a part of it and the Klutz that I am I droped it and it broke into 4 pieces.  My heart just sank as for me I saw this beauty in it that a lot of people would not even see in it.  I must be the worlds most klutzy potter!  You see this is a common occurance for me.  So I think the universe is telling me to slow down and stop multi tasking .
I guess this is the lesson for me today!
Here is a picture of the broken piece, the picture really doesn't show the true beauty of it but I thought I would share it with you anyways!

Like I said it may look like nothing to a lot of people but this was a really great piece in my eyes!
Rest in peace!

Now for something uplifting!
I wanted to share a pendant that one of my customers created with my fish beads that I make!

She also makes fabulous earrings!
Here is a link to the fish pendant and her shop!
Enjoy!

Love and Peace♥

  1. Oh no! I'm pretty klutzy too, so I know how that can be. I'm sorry this beautiful pendant broke, but hopefully you can make another that is fairly close to it.

Love the fish pendant your customer made!

  2. Hi Ingrid. The universe has a rather straight forward and "tough love" approach to talking to us. Love the pendant, you're right though - there has got to be a message there somewhere. I also really like the fish pendant. That's a great way to use that design.
